CELEBRATE RECOVERY at Bridgeport UMC offers a safe place for all. Celebrate Recovery is a place where folks can relax, and focus on solutions to all of life's challenges. Those solutions come through our faith in Christ. Celebrate Recovery provides us God-given tools and principles to live by.
CR Bridgeport is an engaging service opportunity. With exciting contemporary worship and weekly testimonies or lessons, many come to find Wednesday evenings as their reprieve from the daily pressures of our culture and lives.
Celebrate Recovery is not just for substance use issues. In fact, that is the minority. If you struggle with bad habits, worry, depression, anger, resentment, or any of life's issues that pull us from our God-given potential, then CR is right for you.
Come check out Celebrate Recovery - you'll be glad that you did.

Men's and Women's Ministries
United Women in Faith
Contact: Cheryl Bramble
Mission: Through United Women in Faith, women grow in faith, build supportive community, and put mission into action locally and globally through Jesus Christ.
Subgroups: Organized by age and interest, United Women in Faith subgroups meet regularly and undertake various service projects.
Active subgroups include:
Sisters Bible Study – Fridays | 8:30 AM | Fowler Heritage Room
Lydia Circle – First Monday | 10:30 AM | Library
Proverbs 31 Circle – First Monday | 7:00 PM | Johnson Avenue Campus
Esther/Ruth Circle – First Tuesday | 10:30 AM | Bride’s Room/Children’s Church Room
Gatherings for all women are held quarterly in the Church Fellowship Hall.
Ministries: The United Women in Faith are active in a variety of ministries and support many church activities throughout the year. The women are especially known for their annual rummage sale, which is referred to as the “Whale of a Sale.” This four-day, mega-sale is "Mission in Action" because the profit isn't really profit. Proceeds from the Whale of a Sale support dozens of local, regional, and global ministries, including food pantries, recovery programs, youth services, health access organizations, disaster relief, and scholarships for local students.
All women are welcome. Whether you’re looking for fellowship, study, or hands-on mission, there’s a place for you in United Women in Faith!
