✝️ Special Lenten Sunday Evening Services — March 8, 15, & 22 | 7:00 PM
📍 Sanctuary (Main Campus)
Theme: “Why Lent?”
Lent is a season of reflection, repentance, and renewed devotion. But why do we observe it? What does it shape in us as followers of Christ? Join us for three special Sunday evening services as we explore the meaning and purpose of Lent:
March 8 – Rev. Dr. Matthew Paugh
March 15 – Rev. Melissa Paugh
March 22 – Rev. Dr. Paul Rebelo, Pastor, Chapel Hill United Methodist Church (Buckhannon)
Come for worship, reflection, and preparation as we journey toward the cross and the hope of Easter.
Holy Week at Bridgeport UMC | Begins March 29
As we journey toward the cross and the empty tomb, we invite you to begin marking your calendar now. Our full Holy Week schedule will be shared soon.
Holy Week Services:
-
Palm Sunday – March 29
-
Maundy Thursday – April 2
-
Good Friday – April 3
-
Easter Sunday – April 5
This year, we will also introduce Midday Eucharist services (Monday–Wednesday of Holy Week). These brief, prayerful gatherings are designed for those who wish to pause in the middle of the day and enter more deeply into the sacred story.
📖 Acts Bible Study | Thursdays 7:00 PM
📍 Intermediate Chapel (Sanctuary Overflow Area)
Join Pastor Matthew for an in-depth Bible study on the Book of Acts. Together, we’ll explore how the early church was formed, challenged, and sent into the world—and what this Spirit-led story means for the church today. All are welcome, whether you’re new to Bible study or looking to go deeper.
Faith, Family, and Friends Sunday School | Sundays 9:30 AM
📍 Parlor
Join the Faith, Family, and Friends Sunday School class for their study: “An Unlikely Lent: Extraordinary People of the Easter Story.” This study explores the overlooked voices and unexpected characters surrounding the cross and resurrection. By seeing the Easter story through their eyes, we may discover that resurrection is not only a past event, but an invitation into something new, unexpected, and unlikely.
Faith, Family, and Friends is a welcoming, discussion-based, multi-generational class where questions are encouraged and faith connects with everyday life. We explore Scripture and spiritual topics in a relaxed, coffee-friendly setting. All are welcome.
