Open Minds...  Open Hearts...  Open Doors.

Outreach

Reaching out into the community is an important aspect of the ministry of Bridgeport United Methodist Church.  Our church provides financial support to several local agencies, and members of our church family volunteer and serve in many ways.

Adopt A Family - Families, groups and classes in our church provide Thanksgiving dinners for needy families in our community.

Angel Food Ministries - Once a month our church serves as a distribution site for in this non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing grocery relief and financial support to families in our community. (More)

Clarksburg Mission - Our church provides many opportunities for ministry with this local program.  The Mission provides daily meals, a homeless shelter, and a variety of other services. (More)

Criss-Cross and Salvation Army - Our church provides a variety of ways for our members to become involved in these important social service agencies.

Open Door - Several of our members volunteer regularly at this daytime facility for the needy and unemployed.

Shepherd’s Corner - Many of our church members are volunteers in the Bridgeport area food and clothing pantry.

These are only a few of the many ways our church helps members become involved in local ministries.  As needs arise each year, our church finds new ways to respond.   To learn more about our Outreach Ministry, please contact the Church Office and someone will direct you to a member of the Outreach Committee.
