The Maryland State Boychoir warmed the hearts of many worshipers on Sunday, August 12, as they sang praises to our Lord during a special evening service.
The boys’ performance encompassed a wide range of choral selections including classic sacred and secular choral works, spirituals, folksongs, gospel, and popular music. Members of Chanticleer Children’s Choir and our Seraphim Singers were invited to sing with the Boychoir during the final musical selection.
Bridgeport UMC was the first stop on the Boychoir’s summer tour, which will take the group to Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, and North Carolina.
“Special thanks to everyone who helped in the success of the Boychoir’s stay in Bridgeport, said Sarah Carr Parsons, director of music ministry. “From those who hosted boys in their homes, to those who cooked meals here at the church, you are truly appreciated.”
